BioReliance Announces First Commercial Use of HyMy[TM] Assay.

Any of the bacteria that make up the genus Mycoplasma. They are among the smallest of bacterial organisms. The cell varies from a spherical or pear shape to that of a slender branched filament.
 Detection with Greater Speed

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- BioReliance announced today the successful completion of the first commercial application of its proprietary hybrid mycoplasma (HyMy[TM]) assay, combining the efficacy of the broth amplification method of mycoplasma detection and the speed of qPCR detection to cut the turnaround time (1) In batch processing, the time it takes to receive finished reports after submission of documents or files for processing. In an online environment, turnaround time is the same as response time.  by more than half on this vital, but lengthy assay.

Jeri Ann Boose, PhD, Senior Scientific Director of BioReliance, commenting on the assay, stated, "The execution of the first commercial HyMy[TM] assay was seamless due to the efficient cooperation of BioReliance's project management and quality assurance teams working with our microbiology and molecular biology molecular biology, scientific study of the molecular basis of life processes, including cellular respiration, excretion, and reproduction. The term molecular biology was coined in 1938 by Warren Weaver, then director of the natural sciences program at the Rockefeller  labs. Thanks to their hard work, and our client's error-free submission of its study information via our proprietary iNet[TM] electronic sample submission system, we were able to initiate the assay on a same-day basis and deliver the final certificate of analysis to the client in a mere 17 days."

"In addition to its speed, HyMy[TM] is superior to other mycoplasma detection methods because it can determine the viability or non-viability of more than 60 species of mycoplasma, including all common contaminating strains. Manufacturers who elect to test their drug products using the HyMy[TM] assay will get more information regarding more strains of mycoplasma faster than by any other means," according to according to
