BioEnterprise Adds Two to Business Development Team.


CLEVELAND -- BioEnterprise Corporation has announced two new key appointments to its staff. The Cleveland developer of bioscience companies named both Glen Gaughan and Michael Lang to its Business Development team.

Michael Lang will lead the company's efforts for advising and evaluating medical device and equipment companies. Lang brings over 20 years of business and product development experience in medical devices. He has played key roles in the initiation of five new business entities including new businesses of Johnson & Johnson and Avery Dennison as well as several startups. Most recently, Lang was General Manager for Avery Dennison's Medical & Microreplication businesses.

Lang has experience in all aspects of the medical device industry, including product development, marketing, business development and general management. He has successfully developed and commercialized a wide array of medical devices, including implants, biomaterials, catheters, imaging, specialty instrumentation, and minimally invasive products in orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurological and general surgery markets. In addition, he brings significant transactional experience in technology licensing, joint ventures and acquisitions. Lang received his B.S. in Bioengineering from Northern Arizona University Northern Arizona University (NAU) is a public university in Flagstaff, Arizona in the United States.

Glen Gaughan will focus his work at BioEnterprise primarily on biopharmaceutical, drug delivery, and diagnostics opportunities. He is working closely with Arteriocyte, Vascular Biogenics, and Copernicus Therapeutics, supporting the development of their business strategies and product development plans.

Gaughan has almost 20 years of experience as a drug discovery scientist with Bristol-Myers Squibb. In roles ranging from Principal Investigator to Group Leader, he contributed to programs searching for new medications for pain, obesity, sleep disorders Sleep Disorders Definition
