BioDtech Launches Faster, More Accurate Bacterial Detection, Removal Product Line.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- BioDtech, Inc. (BDTI BDTI Berkeley Design Technology, Inc.
BDTI Berkeley Design Technology Inc.
) will launch three new products, which are designed exclusively for the detection, neutralization neutralization, chemical reaction, according to the Arrhenius theory of acids and bases, in which a water solution of acid is mixed with a water solution of base to form a salt and water; this reaction is complete only if the resulting solution has neither acidic nor  and removal of endotoxin Endotoxin

A biologically active substance produced by bacteria and consisting of lipopolysaccharide, a complex macromolecule containing a polysaccharide covalently linked to a unique lipid structure, termed lipid A.
. These products will be introduced at the Annual Experimental Biology conference in San Diego, CA, April 1-6. The company holds an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement for this new technology. All products are derived from the same chemically synthesized compound: Factor C sushi peptide. These new products eliminate common critical issues associated with current methodology. They provide scientific researchers the ability to eliminate the effects of endotoxin contamination.

EndoDtec-F(TM) can be used to uncover bacteria on surfaces, in environmental samples, injectable drugs or medical devices. It is compromised of a 34 amino acid amino acid (əmē`nō), any one of a class of simple organic compounds containing carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and in certain cases sulfur. These compounds are the building blocks of proteins.  chain (Factor C sushi peptide) with a rhodamine rhodamine /rho·da·mine/ (ro´dah-men) any of a group of red fluorescent dyes used to label proteins in various immunofluorescence techniques.  tag for detection. EndoDtec-F(TM) has high specificity for gram-negative bacteria and high accuracy for endotoxin (gram-negative bacteria) detection.

EndoZap-R(TM) is non-toxic and can be used as an anti-microbial. Anti-microbials are capable of destroying or inhibiting the growth of microorganism's pathogenic actions. This product is compromised of the same amino acid chain as EndoDtec-F(TM). EndoZap-R(TM) is used to deactivate de·ac·ti·vate

1. To render inactive or ineffective.

2. To inhibit, block, or disrupt the action of (an enzyme or other biological agent).

3.
or neutralize the biological effects of endotoxin in aqueous solutions (water).

EndoBind-R(TM) has high binding strength for endotoxin. This multipurpose mul·ti·pur·pose

product covers a broad range of conditions with no special equipment or buffer requirements. EndoBind-R(TM) effectively removes endotoxins from aqueous samples.

Dr. Michael Pepe, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , noted, "We are quite pleased to provide delivery of our first products to the research market. We believe we have set the bar quite high with the accuracy, speed and lower cost of these products. Our synthetic process moves us beyond the current technology."

BioDtech, Inc. was formed in September 2003 to accelerate the development of technologically advanced products geared toward the endotoxin market. Three key factors differentiate this company from other organizations involved in the detection of endotoxin:

--Their products focus exclusively on endotoxin

--The products provide the ability to not only detect, but neutralize and remove endotoxin associated with gram-negative bacteria

--BioDtech has the ability to provide both quantitative and qualitative results to the end user
