Bio-Reference Laboratories Introduces Enterprise Report Management System.

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 1999--Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ Small Cap - "BRLI"), announced today that it has completed the first phase roll-out of OnBase(C), a company-wide Enterprise Report Management System developed by Hyland Software of Rocky River, OH and installed by Optical Archive Systems, Worcester, MA. OnBase(C), is a powerful client/server application that offers fast, easy, and consistent access to a wide variety of information including COLD (computer output to laser disk), image, and application documents.

For the past four years, Bio-Reference has scanned all incoming requisitions for laboratory services. This has helped to improve and automate the filing of legally required documentation. The addition of host-generated reports, cross referenced to requisitions, results, and billing records, will provide a fully automated electronic process for the retrieval of data.
