Bio-Matrix Scientific Signs Lease on 15,000 sq. ft. Building for Its Stem Cell Research Facility and Stem Cell Bank.


SAN DIEGO -- Bio-Matrix Scientific Group Inc. (Pink Sheets:BMXP BMXP Boston Metropolitan Exchange Point ) announced today that it has signed a five year lease on a 15,000 sq ft building, formerly the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  Blood Testing facility in San Diego. The Company plans to build-out 3 Stem Cell stem cell

In living organisms, an undifferentiated cell that can produce other cells that eventually make up specialized tissues and organs. There are two major types of stem cells, embryonic and adult.

Chairman David Koos stated, "We intend to build a state-of-the-art research facility and stem cell bank. We are currently in discussions with several potential companies that could lead to potential joint ventures with us, using our new facility to conduct stem cell research in conjunction with our staff once the building's improvements have been completed."

The new 15,000 sq ft, state-of-the-art facility, located in the heart of San Diego's biotechnology community, will house Bio-Matrix' secure cryogenic adult stem cell bank, clean rooms for tissue processing and cellular analysis as well as various research laboratories. This facility will also house Bio-Matrix' medical device and instrumentation divisions as well as its marketing and corporate offices.
