Bio-Matrix Scientific Group Inc. (Pink Sheets:BMXG) announced today the appointment of James L. Lambert, Ph.D., as its Bio-Instrument Scientific Advisor. Dr. Lambert specializes in the development of next generation bio-instrumentation for use in medical research.

Dr. Lambert has been with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 17 years and for the last five years he has served as the Technical Group Supervisor of the Intelligent Instrument and Systems Technology Group. Dr. Lambert leads a multidisciplinary group whose members have advanced degrees in chemistry, biology, electrical engineering, and computer science. In addition to managing his group, Dr. Lambert is Principal Investigator of two projects: 1) The Non-invasive glucose monitor which utilizes Raman spectroscopy to measure glucose levels via the eye and 2) The Quantum Dot Lateral Flow Assay Project in which semiconductor nanoparticles are combined with antibodies within an immunoassay Immunoassay

In 1987, Jim obtained a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Carnegie Mellon. He also holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (1980 & 1984).
