(stock symbol) ) today announced that its Personal Health Management Division, CapMed, has partnered with Dr. Notes, Inc. to support the Dr. Notes HealthyPass, a portable and secure personal health record that will work in conjunction with their clinical management software.

The Personal Health Record/Continuity of Care Record integration that will be offered with the Dr. Notes HealthyPass supports one of the core components of the National Health Information Infrastructure. The NHII NHII National Health Information Infrastructure , recently unveiled in Washington, DC, identifies personal health records and consumer-centric care as a core component. Furthermore, this supports the President's plan to ensure that most Americans have electronic health records within the next 10 years."

The Dr. Notes HealthyPass, a private-label version of the CapMed Personal HealthKey(TM), is a secure USB-enabled key chain device that will enable the secure communication of health information between patients and providers. This will allow patients to receive the Continuity of Care Record from their providers, save this information into their personal health record, add self-reported data to the record, and communicate this information between providers via the USB-port available on most computers. Examples of data that can be stored on the Dr. Notes HealthyPass include the continuity of care record, conditions, medications, lab values, allergies, family history, medical images, insurance plan information, demographics The attributes of people in a particular geographic area. Used for marketing purposes, population, ethnic origins, religion, spoken language, income and age range are examples of demographic data. , and patient-education in the context of the patient's needs.

Dr. Notes will market and sell the Dr. Notes HealthyPass to current Dr. Notes Inc. physician user-groups, as well as secondary sales via the physician and third-party relationships to provide additional avenues of distribution.
