Binswanger Arranges Sale of Major Property in Des Moines, Iowa.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Binswanger is pleased to announce the sale of the 441,185 sq. ft., former Bridgestone/Firestone property located at 2400 Northeast 46th Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa.

Bridgestone/Firestone, an international manufacturer of tire products, operates 38 production plants and over 2,300 tire and automotive stores in the U.S. Headquartered in Nashville, TN, the company was formed in 1990 when Bridgestone U.S.A. merged with The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company.

"We had previously listed the Des Moines property with another real estate company and there was limited activity," commented Clair E. McCloy, Vice President of Finance at Bridgestone. "However, once Gerry Norton and Binswanger became involved, activity increased greatly and the building was sold within months."

Novastar, a local investment group, purchased the property. They plan to lease it to Dee Zee, Inc., a Des Moines-based supplier of aftermarket truck accessories.
