PHILADELPHIA -- Representing the seller, Binswanger/CBB, in concert with Jones Lang LaSalle Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) is a major real estate and money management services firm headquartered in the Aon Center in Chicago, Illinois and the only company in its industry making it into Fortune magazine's list of the 100 Best Places to Work in the U.S. , recently negotiated the sale of a 75,000 sq. ft. building located at 18 South 7th Street in Philadelphia, PA.

The buyer, Philadelphia Management, is a major real estate development company headquartered in Philadelphia. Plans for the property are as yet unformulated.

The seller, The Historical Society of Pennsylvania Historical Society of Pennsylvania is an historical library and archive founded in Philadelphia in 1824. Today, the Society houses over 19 million manuscript sript and graphic items and features one of the largest family history libraries in the nation. , is one of the oldest historical societies in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. It is bordered by New Jersey, across the Delaware River (E), Delaware (SE), Maryland (S), West Virginia (SW), Ohio (W), and Lake Erie and New York  and the United States. After merging with the Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies in 2002, The Society no longer had need for the Balch Building.
