The most recognizable game in America and around the world, bingo, has been developed into an exciting, new Monday-Friday, live half-hour game show that will feature online elements and one-of-a-kind viewer interaction, it was announced today by Bob Lienhard Bob Lienhard is a former basketball player at the University of Georgia.

He became the school's all time leading rebounder with 1,116 career rebounds. He also holds the single season record with 396 rebounds, as well as the single game record with 32 rebounds.

"Bingo Television" is the daytime show that takes traditional bingo into the 2lst century. The hosted show will feed live four times a day. Stations will pick up one of these feeds. Viewers will play from home by matching the numbers drawn during the live game show with numbers appearing on their bingo cards Bingo cards are used to play various bingo games, including U.S. style bingo and UK style Housie. Cards are usually made of cardboard or non-reusable paper, but more and more bingo halls are beginning to use computerized cards. .

Cards are obtained via the Internet, local retailers, a variety of other venues, or customers can mail a request to have cards sent directly to them. Viewers who have won, call a toll-free number to claim bingo.

A serial number on the card allows the computer to instantly verify the caller's claim of a winning "Bingo Television" card. Viewers play for big cash and prizes, and most winners are interviewed on the air.

"`Bingo Television' began as a local show in the Hawaii market, where it successfully ran for a number of years. The show was then brought to the mainland where it was tested in 22 small markets for 11 months. This is where we added the element of the Internet. The results were so amazing a·maze

Each "Bingo Television" affiliate will be able to partner with local retailers and other major advertisers to produce an endless number of sponsorships and local promotions using ZIP-code-driven coupons, which will be printed on all downloaded bingo cards.

"Bingo Television," which will be introduced at the upcoming National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE NATPE National Association of Television Programming Executives ) Conference in January 2001, Booth No. 5605, is produced by U-DUB Productions LLC, and is distributed by Mansfield Television Productions in association with Mark Anthony Entertainment.
