Bindley Western Industries, Inc. Announces Promotion of Scott D. Teets to Senior Counsel and the Appointment of John C. Erickson III to Senior Compliance Counsel.

Bindley Western Industries, Inc. (NYSE:BDY) announced today the promotion of Scott D. Teets to the position of Senior Counsel and the appointment of John C. Erickson III to Senior Compliance Counsel.

Mr. Teets has held the position of Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for Bindley Western since December 1, 1997. His responsibilities include matters involving real estate, SEC compliance, corporate governance, intellectual property, business contracts administration, and various projects for the Company's Board of Directors as Assistant Secretary. He previously owned or managed several closely held businesses in central Indiana after holding management positions with Dow Chemical Company and Baxter Healthcare. Mr. Teets holds a B.S. in economics and journalism from Butler University, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law -- Indianapolis, and served on the adjunct teaching faculty at Franklin College.

Mr. Erickson's primary role will be to oversee the Company's regulatory compliance program in the capacity of Chief Compliance Officer. He will also aid in the supervision of litigation matters involving the company. Before joining Bindley Western, Mr. Erickson was associated with a well-known Indianapolis law firm where he concentrated his practice in the areas of federal white-collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation matters. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Erickson was a Trial Attorney with the Department of Justice in the Attorney General's Honors Program. He began his career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John Daniel Tinder of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Mr. Erickson received his B.G.S. degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law -- Bloomington.
