Bin Laden for Bush.


In a desperately-tight American presidential election it would be a rich irony indeed if the man who won it for George W Bush was Osama Bin Laden Osama bin Laden: see bin Laden, Osama. .

Last night's newly-released video showing Bin Laden claiming responsibility for the 9/11 attacks and taunting Mr Bush could have an electrifying e·lec·tri·fy

It may help Mr Kerry Kerry, county (1991 pop. 121,894), 1,815 sq mi (4,701 sq km), SW Republic of Ireland. The county town is Tralee. Kerry consists of a series of mountainous peninsulas that extend into the Atlantic.  that Bin Laden is very clearly alive and well long after Mr Bush vowed to track him down.

However, on the principle that my enemy's enemy must be my friend, American voters may conclude that if Bin Laden attacks Bush then Bush must have something going for him.

In the unpleasant and brutal world of American politics, the ramblings of a terrorist could be just what Mr Bush needed.
