), a real estate investment trust that invests primarily in residential mortgage-related securities, today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.54 per share on the Company's Class A and Class B Common Stock for the quarter ending December 31, 2004. The dividend is payable December 29, 2004, to stockholders of record on December 10, 2004.

The Board of Directors anticipates that this dividend will be paid entirely from its REIT REIT

The Company projects that its year 2004 REIT taxable income will be approximately $685,000 greater than the Company's year 2004 income as computed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles The standard accounting rules, regulations, and procedures used by companies in maintaining their financial records.

. This difference accounts for about $0.04 of the dividend.

Bimini Mortgage Management, Inc. invests primarily in residential mortgage-related securities issued by the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, commonly known as Freddie Mac, privately owned, government-sponsored organization that uses private capital to buy home mortgages as a means to help lower housing costs.  (Freddie Mac) and the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae). It earns returns on the spread between the yield on its assets and its costs, including the interest expense on the funds it borrows. The Company has elected to be taxed as a REIT under the Internal Revenue Code The Internal Revenue Code is the body of law that codifies all federal tax laws, including income, estate, gift, excise, alcohol, tobacco, and employment taxes. These laws constitute title 26 of the U.S. Code (26 U.S.C.A. § 1 et seq. , which means the Company is not required to pay federal income taxes on the REIT taxable earnings which are currently distributed to its shareholders.
