Billy Wagner traded to Red Sox.

Billy Wagner was on Tuesday traded to the Red Sox following several talks and will be pitching for the side this season.

Wagner was claimed on waivers by the AL wild-card leaders on waivers and he will join a strong bullpen that features All-Star closer Jonathan Papelbon.

The 38-year-old Wagner has pitched two scoreless innings since recently returning from major surgery on his left elbow last September.
