Bills' Lynch arrested on weapon charge

    Lynch was was arrested on a charge of possession of a concealed firearm after police found a loaded weapon in his car.

    The 22-year-old National Football League player was booked and released on 35,000 dollars bond.

    Culver City police said the case has been submitted to prosecutors for filing consideration.

    It's the the second time in less than a year that Lynch has been in trouble with the police.

    He was under investigation in June for a hit-and-run accident that occurred the previous month in Buffalo.

     struck and injured an Ontario woman before leaving the scene of the accident.

    Initially, Lynch said someone else was driving the car that struck the woman, who suffered minor injuries.

    After he admitted to being behind the wheel and apologized for the incident, Lynch reached an agreement in which he would plead guilty in the case.

    Following this latest incident, Lynch could face a suspension from the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

    Neither the Bills nor the NFL made any immediate comment on the incident.

    According to a release issued by the Culver City Police Department, Lynch and two other men were seated in a 2006 Mercedes Benz when officers began a "field investigation" of the vehicle.

    After speaking with Lynch and the other two occupants, officers discovered the loaded firearm and "determined the gun belonged to Lynch," police said.
