Look out, Malibu. Another billionaire is in buying mode.

The Malibu Colony Plaza has been purchased by E. Stanley Kroenke Enos Stanley "Stan" Kroenke (born 1947 in Columbia, Missouri) is an American business entrepreneur who is listed in the Forbes 400 as one of the richest people in the world. His wealth is estimated to be about $2.1 billion and based primarily on real estate. , a billionaire developer and owner of several sports teams, the Malibu Times reported.

Kroenke joins David Geffen and Larry Ellison to make upa trio of nouveau major stakeholders in the beachside beach·side

Oracle Corp.'s Ellison took hold of several key properties in 2003 and 2004, along with residences on Broad Beach and Serra Retreat. Geffen, co-founder of DreamWorks SKG, bought the Malibu Inn earlier this year.

Kroenke acquired the property from Malibu Bay Co. along with adjacent land where Malibu Urgent Care, a post office, a gas station and a parking lot are located.

David Reznick, spokesman for Malibu Bay, would not comment on the purchase, but released a statement confirming the deal.

Kroenke Group works in real estate and development and has several properties around the United States and Canada.

Kroenke Sports Enterprises owns the NBA's Denver Nuggets and NHL's Colorado Avalanche, as well as the Pepsi Center where the two teams play. He is minority owner of the NFL's St. Louis Rams

    Forbes magazine estimated Kroenke's net worth at $1.7 billion. He is married to Anne Walton Kroenke, who inherited the fortune of her Wal-Mart co-founding father, James "Bud" Walton James Lawrence “Bud” Walton (December 20, 1921 – March 21, 1995) was the younger brother of Sam Walton and cofounder of Wal-Mart.

    Born in 1921, Walton went to Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri and to the Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington,
