Wright, 39, has joined the company as Manager of Offshore Drilling. The position was previously handled by outside contractors. Prior to joining Houston Exploration, Mr. Wright served as Senior Drilling Engineer, specializing in offshore operations, for Zilkha Energy Company. Mr. Wright holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University and attended the Executive Management program at Rice University.
