Bill Toner named vice president/operations of Gannett Media Technologies International.


ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 1995--Bill Toner has been named vice president/operations of Gannett Media Technologies International (GMTI GMTI Ground Moving Target Indicator

). For the past five years, Bill has served as director of the Advanced Systems Lab (ASL ASL - Algebraic Specification Language ) in Gannett's Newspaper Division. GMTI, based in Cincinnati, was created to market products developed by the ASL in conjunction with Gannett newspapers and its vendors.

"Bill's promotion is a natural progression from lab to marketplace, said Gary Watson," president of the Newspaper Division. "Bill's leadership in the development of new technology products will continue in his role at GMTI."

Bill joined Gannett as an electronics engineer in 1975 and served in a number of production management roles for Gannett until his appointment as director of the ASL in 1990.
