Bill Schultz--effective leadership.

I just read your editorial on the life of Bill Schultz and his remarkable turnaround of Fender Musical Instruments. Being a product of Bill's era, I had the honor to work with him over the years as we served together on various industry committees, organizations, and task forces.

Bill was perhaps one of the most effective leaders that I have come across in my career in the industry. I always had tremendous respect for him. I particularly recall his leadership in GAMA, and he should be credited with the successful introduction of guitars into our schools--which would not have happened without Bill's resolve and leadership.

Your recognition of Bill's contribution to the industry is very much appreciated by me.
