The company also added that it "anticipates increasing its 2003 guidance in the future." M&R find little not to like about this stock right now. Longer term, they still worry about how competition from the likes of larger rivals could negatively affect FindWhat's margins over the long haul Long distance. Long haul implies traversing a state or a country. Contrast with short haul. (as competition in this sector further intensifies), but down at this price, they believe the rewards greatly outweigh the risks on FWHT. Vitesse Looks Solid After having a chance to look more in depth at Vitesse's (NASDAQ:VTSS) latest quarterly results, M&R are happy overall with what they see. Vitesse is a holding in the Special Opportunity model portfolio. The company reported fiscal fourth quarter sales of $38.1 million (down 11% sequentially, but up 2% year-over-year) and a loss of $18.7 million or 9 cents per share, which was in line with Wall Street's consensus. Looking ahead to the current quarter, Vitesse expects sales to be basically flat to slightly up (in the $38-$40 million range). No surprises here. As expected, VTSS is nicely holding its ground and managing its costs. Perhaps the most bullish piece of news VTSS offered up to investors is that it believes it can return to profitability by the last quarter of next year. This would be a huge catalyst for the stock. For the near term, though, M&R are just happy to see VTSS continuing to cut costs, manage its expenses and lower its breakeven breakeven 1. The level of output or sales necessary to cover fixed expenses. Companies in industries that have high fixed costs and, consequently, high breakevens, such as automobile and steel manufacturing, are likely to exhibit large fluctuations point in a brutally tough tech/semi environment.
