Bill Hood Promoted to North Carolina Statewide Office Principal.

CARY, N.C. -- Michael Baker Engineering, Inc., a division of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Amex:BKR), promoted Bill Hood, P.E., RLA, LEED, AP, to statewide office principal for North Carolina. Bill will coordinate and oversee marketing and operations within the Baker offices in Asheville, Cary, Charlotte and Greensboro. Working in conjunction with each office principal, he will develop both depth and breadth of expertise while expanding Baker's potential to serve a broader clientele.

Hood's more than 26 years of experience encompasses high profile projects such as the Fayetteville Street Renaissance in Raleigh and the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. Hood has served a range of roles throughout his career: chief engineer overseeing multiple states; principal-in-charge, project engineer, manager and director for multiple private, state and municipal projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and is registered as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Hood is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Registered Landscape Architect in North Carolina. He presently serves as American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) North Carolina's Vice-Chair of Legislative Committee and Engineer Professional Advisory Committee (EPAC) Board of Trustees Secretary. He has worked with North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry (NCCBI) on their transportation and legislative committees and remains involved with Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), and American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE).
