 Alternext US:BKR) announced today that Bill Hood, P.E., RLA, LEED AP, has been appointed office principal for Baker's Cary, North Carolina Cary is the second largest municipality in Wake County, North Carolina and the third largest municipality in The Triangle (North Carolina) behind Raleigh and Durham. It is the seventh largest municipality in North Carolina. , office. He will be responsible for operations management, office administration, financial management, project oversight and business development for all of Baker's activities in Cary. Hood's extensive experience with NCDOT and other transportation clients will facilitate Baker's growth in North Carolina and adjacent areas.

Hood was formerly principal and chief engineer at Mulkey Engineers and Consultants, where he served as project manager, project engineer or principal-in-charge on numerous complex roadway, civil and site design projects involving multiple disciplines, accelerated schedules and adherence to project schedules and budgets and overall project management. Most recently, he was the project director for the Fayetteville Street Renaissance project in downtown Raleigh, N.C., an economic development project that encompassed site/civil work, roadway design and urban design in a challenging urban setting. The reopened Fayetteville Street has become a symbol of the North Carolina Capitol and has been highlighted on several national television broadcasts, including Good Morning America Good Morning America is a weekday morning news show that is broadcast on the ABC television network.
