Bill Hager Wins Boca Raton City Council Seat and Launches New Company.

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2002

Bill Hager, a leading Boca Raton business executive, won his bid for a seat on the Boca Raton City Council in the March 12 election. He will begin serving a two-year term on April 1, 2002. As a Councilman, Mr. Hager will participate in the oversight of the Boca Raton city management. This is an elected position involving on-going public service.

Mr. Hager also announced the launch of Insurance Metrics Corporation, a Boca BOCA Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.

As a result of these new initiatives, Mr. Hager has decided to step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer of Cenetec, a Boca Raton-based technology commercialization and business development firm providing comprehensive services to emerging technology companies showing strong market potential. Mr. Hager co-founded Cenetec with Scott Adams.

"Working at Cenetec has been a very rewarding opportunity," said Mr. Hager. "Now that the foundation and infrastructure of Cenetec is firmly in place, I felt it was a good time to launch these new initiatives." Mr. Hager will remain one of the largest shareholders in Cenetec and will be available to consult with Cenetec periodically.

Prior to Cenetec, Mr. Hager served in several senior executive positions. He co-founded Risk Metrics Corporation, a Boca Raton insurance information provider, in 1998. Mr. Hager was President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Council on Compensation Insurance The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) is a U.S. insurance rating and data collection bureau specializing in workers' compensation. Mr. Hager is also a Co-Founder of Silicon Beach Venture Capital LLC, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Boca Raton Community Hospital Boca Raton Community Hospital is a 394-bed not-for-profit health care organization located in Boca Raton, Florida. The institution opened its doors July 17, 1967. The hospital has a staff of more than 750 primary and specialty physicians who provide preventative and acute hospital  and a board member of the National Conference of Christians and Jews of Southeast Florida.
