Bill Dawson Joins Brown and Caldwell, to Lead Federal Practice on East Coast.


WALNUT CREEK Walnut Creek, residential city (1990 pop. 60,569), Contra Costa co., W Calif., in the San Francisco Bay area; inc. 1914. It is the trade and shipping center of an extensive agricultural area where walnuts are among the major product. , Calif. -- Brown and Caldwell recently announced that Bill Dawson has joined the company as a vice president and will lead its federal business practice on the East Coast.

A 34-year veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Dawson specializes in water resources and has managed more than $3 billion in construction projects around the world, including the Tennessee Tombigee Waterway, Oakland and Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  harbors and the Los Angeles Drainage Area Project.

As part of a recent COE See common operating environment.  project, Dawson managed the development of international strategy to provide infrastructure support to Afghanistan and Iraq. This included coordinating strategy with USAID USAID United States Agency for International Development

 and the State Department, as well as marketing to Gen. George Casey, the Army's senior representative to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
