 Character--The Award of the Royal Marines Meritorious Service Medal The Meritorious Service Medal is a senior level military decoration presented to denote acts of non-combat meritorious service worthy of recognition. The following is a list of Meritorious Service Medals issued by various countries:

It represents a complete history of the Royal Marines from their creation in 1664 through to today.

The first complete roll with biographies for over 200 of the 800 recipients with a brief note of other known medals for every man. A painstaking search of the Globe and Laurel, Royal Marines Museum Picture Archive and many other sources has uncovered images of many of these recipients, not only do the 182 illustrations picture over 150 of the men who received the MSM MSM - Micronetics Standard MUMPS , they also provide a unique look at the uniforms, badges, medals, and equipment used by the Corps, as well as a fascinating insight into how life in the Royal Marines has evolved in the past 150 years.
