Bilateral political consultations between Macedonia and France.

Within the framework of the regular, bilateral communication and coordination, bilateral political consultations between representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia and the French Republic were held in Skopje on 7 May.

The French delegation, led by Erik Fournier, Director for Continental Europe at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was welcomed by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski. Bilateral relations between Macedonia and France, regional cooperation and relations with neighbors, as well as the commitment of the Republic of Macedonia to EU and NATO integration were tabled in the course of the consultations.

Within the framework of the visit, Fournier held a lecture on the subject: "Bilateral Relations between France and the Balkan countries in the context of their aspirations for Euro-Atlantic integration," for the young diplomats at the Diplomatic Academy.
