Cooler Weather and Hotter Times: A Biker Bash Only Sin City Can Handle

LAS VEGAS -- More than 40,000 bikers and motorcycle fanatics will hit the highway to attend the seventh annual Las Vegas BikeFest(TM), a national motorcycle and biker rally held in Sin City September 27 - 30, 2007. This four-day motorcycle extravaganza will host some of the world's most skilled custom motorcycle builders for an exhilarating competition, along with more than 300 of the greatest manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, parts, accessories and apparel, according to Harry Schwartz, president of Full Throttle Events, one of Las Vegas BikeFest's partners.

"Las Vegas BikeFest 2007 guarantees to be a wild weekend featuring some of the biggest names in the custom bike industry," says Schwartz. "We scheduled the rally two weeks later this year in order to take advantage of the cooler weather. However, we anticipate even hotter times because the Las Vegas BikeFest is an opportunity for people to immerse themselves in the biker culture with extreme events like Artistry in Iron, a custom bike show, Harley-Davison demo rides and an unforgettable Mr. and Miss Las Vegas BikeFest Competition."

The fourth annual Artistry in Iron, Master Builder's Championship will feature 25 of the world's most progressive bike builders in an "invitation only" peer judged competition. Sponsored by Hot Bike Magazine, many of the most renowned master builders including Gard Hollinger, Jesse Rooke, Jim Nasi and 2006 Artistry in Iron winner, Greg Westbury, will have the chance to show off their artistry talents when they unveil their newest designs. Special autograph sessions will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

On Saturday, September 29, there will be more than 150 of the most spectacular bikes in the country displayed along four blocks of the Fremont Street Experience as part of the Custom Bike Show sponsored by Tribal Motorworks. Each year this display is an exciting opportunity for bikers to showcase their brilliant bikes. There will be a $5,000 grand prize for the winner of the "Radical Class," along with other awards like the "Best Sportster," "Best Chopper" and "The People's Choice Award."

At the Vendor Village more than 300 top vendors will display custom bikes, production motorcycles, parts and accessories and apparel. Major motorcycle factories, including Big Dog Motorcycles and Yamaha Star Motorcycles, will be there Thursday through Sunday to exhibit their newest models.

Additional events will include Harley-Davison demo rides, an unpredictable Mr. and Miss Las Vegas BikeFest Competition, $100,000 Poker Run and a wet-and-wild Bikini Contest. Also taking place this weekend is the 3rd Annual Race for Kids Charity Event, a scenic ride through the Las Vegas countryside to help support the efforts of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
