Biker sparks 85mph chase; I'M WAITING TO DIE, CLAIMS DANGER DRIVER.

Byline: By MATT CASEY Matt Casey is an American radio personality born on April 30, 1959 in Loraine, Texas.

Matt's first radio job was in the small town of Kermit, Texas at KERB Radio. This was the same station where Roy Orbison performed with his group, "The Wink Westerners".

A BANNED driver who said he was waiting to die took police on a three-mile terror chase.

Manic Michael Pascoe was doing up to 85mph in a 30mph limit, overtook two cars at the same time, almost lost control of his motorbike and rode on the wrong side of the road after turning right without signalling.

Durham Crown Court was told police had to abandon the chase because it became too dangerous as Pascoe's 500cc Kawasaki neared a housing estate.

Lesley Kirkup, prosecuting, said the chase began at 11.20pm on January 18 this year when patrol officers saw the bike leaving the car park of the Stonebridge pub on the A690 between Durham and Langley Moor Langley Moor is a former mining village in County Durham, in England. He also told them: "I have no regard for my life and I am waiting to die."

Miss Kirkup said Pascoe was banned from driving for three years in October 2003, and ordered to take an extended test before being allowed back on the road, but had never taken it.

Pascoe, she said, had 33 previous convictions from 11 occasions.

He also banned him from driving for a year.
