Bike trip son dies.

A FATHER has told how he cradled his dying son in his arms just minutes after they started a dream 10-month motorcycle trip across the US.

Cai ap Leslie, 18, had just 35 miles on the clock of his new Kawasaki KLR 650s when it lost power and was hit by a truck.

Dad Leslie Kay, 47, said: "I sped back to find Cai being cared for by other motorists. He just wanted me there to hold him and hug him. He was in pain."

Cai died in an LA hospital five hours after the accident on Tuesday.

Leslie, from Tregarth, near Bangor, Gwynedd, added: "I will treasure the all too short time Cai had. He was my life."
