The recent government announcement of pounds 14m to support cycling in the UK, some of which will pay for Lime Street This article is about Lime Street, an American television series. For the railway station in Liverpool, see Liverpool Lime Street railway station.

 station to become a cycling hub, must also be welcomed.

However, the city council must maximise its influence and role.

As such, we hope for a positive response to Labour''s request that the council investigates the possibility of providing a continental style bike hire scheme, so that residents, business people and visitors alike, can all contribute to Liverpool becoming a cycling city.
