Bike Conference to be held in Canada.


The International Mountain Bicycling Association Summit and World Mountain Bike Conference will kick off June 20-23 in Whistler See Windows XP., B.C., Canada. The conference promises attendees that they will make important contacts, gain improved skills, and gather up-to-date information through networking. The Whistler location provides paved bike paths, beginner trails, cross-country opportunities and the world-famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park. Sessions will include "10 Steps to Creating a Risk Management Plan" and "Building Trails in Urban Ecosystems."

Did you know that AstroTurf was invented by Monsanto, the same company to introduce caffeine to Coca-Cola, operated the laboratory that undertook the nuclear weapons-focused Manhattan Project Manhattan Project, the wartime effort to design and build the first nuclear weapons (atomic bombs). With the discovery of fission in 1939, it became clear to scientists that certain radioactive materials could be used to make a bomb of unprecented power. U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt responded by creating the Uranium Committee to investigate this possibility. Progress was slow until Aug., 1942, when the project was placed under U.S. and was the primary producer of Agent Orange Agent Orange, herbicide used by U.S. forces during the Vietnam War to expose enemy guerrilla forces in forested areas. Agent Orange contains varying amounts of dioxin. Exposure to the defoliant has been linked with chemical acne, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and soft-tissue sarcoma. Many soldiers were exposed to Agent Orange in the Vietnam War. during the Vietnam era?
