In this new position, Newman will be responsible for managing the overall human resources function. This includes recruiting staff as the company continues its rapid expansion, guiding the development and training of Bigfoot Interactive personnel and managing the implementation of all human resources programs including employee benefits and performance recognition programs.

Prior, Newman was the human resources director of Working Mother Media where she revamped the employee benefits structure resulting in significant cost savings to both the company and its employees. She has also held senior human resource positions at high profile media companies, including The WorkingWomanNetwork, and began her career with a successful tenure at Ziff Davis Ziff Davis Inc. (ZD) is an American magazine publisher and Internet Information company. It was founded in 1927 in Chicago by William B. Ziff, Sr. and Bernard G. Davis.
