BigStar Entertainment Names ValueVision's Vice Chairman Stuart Goldfarb to Board of Directors.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 2000

BigStar Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq:BGST BGST Bradley Gunnery Skills Test ) today announced the appointment of Stuart Goldfarb, 45, vice chairman of ValueVision International Inc. (Nasdaq:VVTV VVTV Voorlopige Vergunning Tot Verblijf (Dutch: Temporary Residency Permit to Stay) ), a leading national shopping network, to its board of directors.

Goldfarb replaces Steven Ledger, 39, who resigned from the board to devote more time to ecompanies, his new investment fund that invests in pre-IPO companies.

David Friedensohn, chairman and chief executive officer of BigStar Entertainment, said, "We are extremely pleased that Stuart Goldfarb has accepted our invitation to join the board of directors. Prior to joining ValueVision in August of 1999, Goldfarb was executive vice president and managing director, Worldwide Business Development at NBC, where he was responsible for coordinating much of NBC's United States and international business development activities. He was a principal architect of NBC's strategic alliances with ValueVision, Dow Jones & Company, and National Geographic. As previously announced, both companies are engaged in a strategic partnership, with ValueVision investing in BigStar common stock, representing approximately 14 percent of the company's common shares outstanding. ValueVision and BigStar are in the process of launching the BigStar Show on ValueVision's SnapTV, a weekly television show featuring news and gossip about movies, celebrities, and celebrity merchandise scheduled to premier early in the second quarter.
