Distinction acknowledges company's pioneering work on switched digital video and Modular CMTS solutions

(NASDAQ: BBND) today announced that the BEQ[TM]6000 has been selected as a finalist for Light Reading's 2007 "Best New Product from a Public Company" award. The award is presented to the company that has developed a market-leading product whose engineering and technical excellence enables the deployment of profitable, next-generation telecommunications services. The five finalists--also including Apple Inc.'s iPhone, Corning Inc.'s ClearCurve Optical Fiber, Fujitsu Network Communications Inc.'s Flashwave 9500 Packet Optical Networking Platform and Soapstone Networks' Provider Network Controller--were selected by a panel of Light Reading editors and Heavy Reading analysts.
