A new, big-wheel scooter has been launched by fast expanding bike maker KYMCO priced at just pounds 1,299 on the road. The People 50 is designed to appeal to a wide range of buyers and comes with an economical single cylinder 2-stroke engine in just one colour - metallic silver.

Mark Callahan, commercial director of the UK importer for KYMCO, says: "Large-wheel scooters have become very popular in European cities. The 16-inch wheels naturally provide extra stability and easier handling, making them ideal for novice riders and city commuters."
