Tour events in London this month, you might have thought the British live poker scene would be taking a well-deserved break. Nothing could be further from the truth, however, with some good-quality events taking place up and down the country. This weekend sees the final leg of the British Masters Poker Tour at the Harbourside Casino casino or cassino (both: kəsē`nō). 1 Card game played with a full deck by two to four players. Its origins are obscure though it probably traces back to the Italian game of Scopa. in Bristol. The pounds 500 + pounds 50 event kicks off at 3pm today. Nottingham's Dusk Till Dawn will host its new monthly festival, the 20Twenty weekend. There will be a guaranteed prize pool of pounds 20,000 both today and tomorrow. The buy-in on each day is pounds 112. In Bolton, at the Grosvenor Casino, you will find the English Amateur Poker Championship. It is a pounds 75 deepstack tournament and this popular event will sell out early. There is big action going on in Ireland, too, with the Paddy Power Irish Winter Festival taking place in the Citiwest Hotel in Dublin.
