Big support for Hartson over cancer; FOOTBALL.

THE Celtic "family" has pledged support to former player-of-the-year John Hartson John Hartson (born April 5, 1975, in Swansea, Wales) is a professional footballer,currently playing for Norwich City on loan from West Bromwich Albion.  which has spread to his brain.

The 34-year-old was given the news at the weekend following tests at the Singleton Hospital in Swansea, South Wales South Wales south nsud m du Pays de Galles , after complaining of severe headaches.

He is to have immediate chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

A Celtic spokesman said: "It is very difficult for us to understand what John is going through, but we will offer any support we can.

"The thoughts and prayers of the entire Celtic family are with John."

Dad-of-three Hartson, a Welsh international, spent five years at Parkhead after signing in 2001.

Peter Rafferty of the Affiliation of Celtic Supporters' Clubs, said: "He was one of our major heroes and wellliked by the fans."
