, Williams (1930-2005) began healing with herbal herbal, early botanical book containing descriptions and illustrations of herbs and plants with their properties, chiefly those qualities that made them useful as medicines or condiments. Most of the herbals were written between c.1470 and c.  remedies and hands and ceremony after he retired from day jobs in 1990. He was urged to join a traditional society for protection, and wrote about that experience in The Reservation (1976). He completed this collection of wisdom and lore 1.
