 Norman Lovett Norman Lovett (born October 31 1946) is a British stand-up comedian and actor, best known for the role of Holly in Red Dwarf during the first, second, seventh and eighth series.  will be coming down to earth in Coventry tomorrow for a comedy special.

He will be appearing tomorrow at Taylor John's House at Coventry Canal Basin. Coventry-born promoter Liam Jones said: "The comedy is drier than the Sahara, as mild-mannered and low-key as you can get while still maintaining a pulse."

Liam, who grew up in Bedworth, said Taylor John's House was widely renowned for its influence on the Coventry music scene and was a perfect venue for comedy.

International American comic Neil Hamburger took the mike in November and 23-year-old Liam reckons there's plenty of scope for more comedy.

He said: "Coventrians always need a good laugh don't they? Coventry has a lot of entertainment and events going on but the more the better I say."

Liam successfully set up a comedy night in Wolverhampton, where he has lived for three years, and now hopes to bring more comedy to Coventry. He said: "I've booked acts such as Norman Lovett, who was Holly in Red Dwarf, and Janice Connolly, who was Holy Mary in Phoenix Nights. Norman knows a thing or two about delivery - his masterful use of the pause and his bemused avuncular a·vun·cu·lar
