 was today seeing the show twice - meaning that she will have attended a staggering total 740 performances.

She was in the audiences celebrating the 21st anniversary of the show's 1985 opening in London.

The 41-year-old from Kings Stanley in Gloucestershire said she has spent nearly pounds 30,000 since first seeing the show in 1988.

"Someone recommended going to see Les Miserables 18 years ago and I got hooked," said Miss Frith, a children's play worker.

She was booked in at the Queen's Theatre in the West End today. Tickets were pounds 5 in 1988 and pounds 22.50 today.
