The property adjoins the north and east borders of the Mount Polley Gold/Copper ore body of Imperial Metals which is under construction and scheduled for production in 1997.

Big Valley's exploration programs, regionally and over the past have outlined 5 target areas. The Lloyd 1, 2, 3, 4 and the Nordik SE. Exploration has been performed on all targets including various surveys such as geochemical ground soil sampling, aerial aerial: see antenna, in electronics.  magnetometer surveys, induced polarization Induced polarization (IP) is a geophysical imaging technique used to identify subsurface materials, such as ore. As a result of the encouraging results, additional drilling is
warranted to define the ultimate limits of the mineralization.
Additional stepout drill sites are presently being located and
drilling is expected to commence within the week.
It is anticipated that one drill will continue to drill the Lloyd
2 resource area and an additional drill will be used to further test
mineralized anomalies on the Nordik SE and the Lloyd 3 targets.
Also during a review of all the diamond drill hole data, it has
become obvious that assay values of silver, molybdenum and tin appear
to be significant. Further study and assaying is warranted to
evaluate the potential of these metals.
A brief summary of selected sections of the previously reported
22 diamond drill holes within the Lloyd 2 resource area are as
