Big Valley Resources - Lloyd 4 target identified, exploration continues.WILLIAMS LAKE Williams Lake is the name of several places: Canada
n. 1. A pattern of dark lines forming squares on a light background. 2. Cloth woven or printed with this pattern. adj. , President of the Company, announces that a fifth exploration target has been identified on the Company's wholly-owned Lloyd-Nordik copper-gold property. The Lloyd 4 target occurs as a large magnetic high coincident with a copper- gold soil anomaly. Preliminary trenching indicates that the source of the anomalies is a weakly altered, magnetic monzonite/diorite containing disseminated pyrite pyrite (pī`rīt) or iron pyrites (pīrī`tēz, pə–, pī`rīts), pale brass-yellow mineral, the bisulfide of iron, FeS2. , malachite malachite (măl`əkīt), a mineral, the green basic carbonate of copper occurring in crystals of the monoclinic system or (more usually) in masses. It is translucent or opaque; the luster is silky, vitreous, adamantine, or dull. and chalcopyrite. A recently completed compilation on the Lloyd 4 target using geology, geochemical and geophysical results indicates that additional trenching and initial diamond drilling is warranted. The Company is currently carrying out a trenching and diamond drilling program on the Lloyd 2, the Lloyd 3 and the Nordik Southeast targets. As previously announced, the Lloyd 3 target covers a large (500 metres x 2,500 metres) copper-gold soil anomaly. Work on the Lloyd 2 target is focused on expanding the zone of elevated gold mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. identified in diamond drill hole 94-16. As previously announced, hole 94-16 contained gold values of 0.392 oz/ton over seven feet (469 to 476 feet). Ongoing work on the Nordik Southeast target is directed at specific areas of coincident high magnetics/chargeability and anomalous copper-gold values in soils. To date, drilling results indicate that disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite and bornite bornite Common copper-ore mineral, copper and iron sulfide (Cu5FeS4). Typical occurrences are found in Mount Lyell, Tasmania; Chile; Peru; and Butte, Mont. Bornite may form isometric crystals but occurs most commonly as irregular masses. occur along the flanks of a monzonite monzonite Type of igneous rock that contains abundant and approximately equal amounts of plagioclase and potash feldspar, as well as other minerals. The type region is Monzoni, Italy, in the Italian Tirol; similar rocks have been described from Montana, Norway, Sakhalin body that has intruded a northwest trending sequence of mafic volcanic flows cut by subvolcanic diorite/monzonite. The Company is in the process of completing a flow-through private placement and will continue the trenching and drilling program throughout the winter. Results for the current program are pending and will be announced as soon as they are available. A target location map is available from the Company upon request.
