Big Sky Announces an Update to the Test Program of its Well No. 10, Morskoe Field, Kazakhstan.CALGARY, Alberta -- Big Sky Energy Corporation, (OTCBB OTCBB See OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB). :BSKO) (the "Company") announced today that it has perforated per·fo·ra·ted adj. Pierced with one or more holes. and flowed on test the lower of two zones it encountered at its Well No. 10 in the Morskoe Field, Western Kazakhstan. This Albian formation was perforated from 1,248 to 1,263 m KB and after cleanup, flowed at a rate of 3,165 bopd of 20 degrees API sweet crude at a flowing well-head pressure of 175psig and a gas oil ratio When oil is brought to surface conditions it is usual for some gas to come out of solution. The gas/oil ratio (GOR) is the ratio of the volume of gas that comes out of solution, to the volume of oil. of 350 scf/bbl after a four hour test period. The oil flow rate was significantly larger than anticipated, which the Company believes is attributable to the use of under balanced, deep-penetrating perforation per·fo·ra·tion n. 1. Given this large flow rate, the company has suspended its test operations to place additional storage at its lease prior to perforating the up-hole Aptian formation at the interval of 1,170.5 to 1,176.5m KB. In addition, the company will review its testing program with the local sub-soil use and environmental protection authorities given the better than expected test performance.
