Big Quiney ton seals promotion; DIVISION THREE.

WOMBOURNE achieved their first goal when their 136-run win at Lichfield guaranteed promotion and left them needing just four points for their second target, the Division Three crown.

A confident 117 from Karl Quiney saw Wombourne reach 198 all out, a target which could have been even greater if Quiney had had more support than Neil Grant's 25 as Tom Stone took four for 39 for Lichfield.

The Herefordshire side are being chased by Olton & W.W. but Jonny Walker's 48 saw them to 195 for eight, at Fordhouses, Danny Hussein finishing with four for 46.

Simon Stamenkovic hit 45 but Studley's remaining batsmen struggled on their way to 149 for nine, before Olton reinforced their promotion hopes with a win that leaves them 16 points adrift of Brockhampton ready for any late slip.
