Big Pipe and IP World Sign Definitive Agreement.

Big Pipe Inc., a division of Shaw Communications Inc. (NYSE:SJR) (TSE:SJR.B) (CDNX:SJR.A), announced today that they have signed a ten year definitive agreement with IP World Networks Corporation (IP World).

Whereby Big Pipe will provide Indefeasible Right to Use (IRU) IP capacity and upstream Internet services to buildings and cities currently served by Big Pipe's existing infrastructure.

IP World is building a high-speed network capable of delivering Internet services (scalable from DS-1 to OC-192) and the Next Generation of communication and application services. The IP World Network will be an extremely reliable and flexible fiber optic network using the latest in optical technology, such as: Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Gigabit Ethernet transport. IP World will initially be rolling out services in Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna, Kamloops, Victoria and Vancouver and intends to expand its service offering throughout the rest of Canada and into the United States.
