LEE WESTWOOD Lee John Westwood (born 24 April 1973) is an English professional golfer. Career outline
Born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, Westwood began to play golf aged 13 with a half set bought by grandparents.
 produced the chip shot of the season to end a two-year winless drought and go top of the Race to Dubai money list with victory in golf's Portugal Masters The Portugal Masters is a European Tour men's professional golf tournament which will be played for the first time on 18-21 October 2007. It will have a prize fund of €3 million, making it the richest golf tournament in the country, and comfortably in the top half of European  yesterday.

Westwood conjured up a stunning shot overs trees, water and spectators at the penultimate hole inVilamoura, landing the ball to within tap-in distance for a birdie in a round of 66 for a 23-under tally of 265.

Italy's Francesco Molinari Francesco Molinari (born 8 November, 1982) is an Italian golfer. Molinari became a professional in 2004, and, at that season's qualifying school, earned full status on the PGA European Tour for the 2005 season, in which he ultimately finished in eighty-sixth place in the Tour's  spoilt his chance with a seventh-hole double bogey but still shot a 70 for 267 and second place with Padraig Harrington (67) third on 269.

Westwood, whose win earned him pounds 460,000, said:"All I could see at 17 for my third was trees and water and a really tight lie but I put the shot down to my coach, Pete Cowan, and all the work we do on the chipping green."

Scott Drummond finished the best of the Scots after a last-round 67 for 272. Colin Montgomerie had a 68 for 276, while Alastair Forsyth shot 72 for 282 after putting balls into the water at the final two holes.
