Big Idea, Digital Praise Team to Bring New VeggieTales(R) Dance Arcade Game to Kids.


DENVER -- New Product, Now Under Development, Combines Digital Praise's Exciting Dance Praise Game Technology With Hugely Popular VeggieTales Music and Characters

Big Idea, Inc., creators of the ever-popular VeggieTales(R) series of DVDs, and Digital Praise Inc, a leader in family-friendly entertainment software, today announced a working partnership to develop an exciting new dance arcade game An arcade game is a coin-operated entertainment machine, typically installed in businesses such as restaurants, pubs, video arcades, and Family Entertainment Centers. Most arcade games are redemption games, merchandisers, video games or pinball machines.  aimed at kids, families, churches and youth groups. The PC-based game, due on retail shelves before the holiday 2006 buying season, will allow players of all ages to dance to the beat of the best VeggieTales tunes, accompanied onscreen on·screen or on-screen

 by everyone's favorite talking vegetables, Bob the Tomato Bob the Tomato is a computer-animated character in the animated series VeggieTales by Big Idea Productions. Bob and co-star, Larry the Cucumber, are the frontveggies for the series.  and Larry the Cucumber Larry the Cucumber is a green cucumber character in the animated series, VeggieTales, by Big Idea Productions. The new Big Idea/Digital Praise dance arcade game, to be named VeggieTales Dance, Dance, Dance, will be based on Digital Praise's existing dance arcade product, Dance Praise. Introduced last year to unusually strong sales, Dance Praise is the first and only Christian-themed dance arcade product for home use. The PC game pits the player against a colorful display of arrows which scroll across the screen in time with the game's upbeat dance music. It's the dancer's job to stay in sync with the display and the music by stepping on the corresponding arrows on the floor pad.

For VeggieTales Dance, Dance, Dance, the two companies will incorporate VeggieTales characters throughout the game. Bob and Larry, accompanied by their veggie friends, will talk, move and even dance to the music! A special VeggieTales-themed dance pad A dance pad, also known as a dance mat or dance platform, is a flat electronic game controller used for input in dance games. There are some games that are not related to rhythm yet still use the dance pad.  will also be included with the game CD, featuring colorful images of Bob and Larry.

Anchoring VeggieTales Dance, Dance, Dance will be an exclusive lineup of dozens of popular songs from the VeggieTales series. A collection of Larry's Silly Songs, named after the popular segment found in each VeggieTales video, will be a featured part of the game.

Unlike Digital Praise's current dance arcade products which feature three levels of difficulty, VeggieTales Dance, Dance, Dance will have four levels. The new fourth level will make it easy for younger children to take part in game play. Adding to the fun will be a new ranking system that rates songs not by their difficulty, but by their "silliness."

In addition to four basic modes of play, the game also offers three dance styles: Solo, the basic one-player format; Duel duel, prearranged armed fight with deadly weapons, usually swords or pistols, between two persons concerned with a point of honor. The duel may have originated in the wager of battle, an early mode of trial in which an accused person fought with his accuser under  style (second pad required) in which one dancer is pitted against another; and Duet (second pad required) which allows two players combine their individual best scores as they dance together.

Digital Praise's dance arcade game technology also offers a colorful jukebox A storage device for multiple sets of CD-ROMs, DVDs, tape cartridges or disk modules. Using carousels, robot arms and other methods, a jukebox physically moves the storage medium from its assigned location to an optical or magnetic station for reading and writing.  display, changeable background scenes and a unique Tune Into You(TM) feature that automatically adjusts play difficulty as the player progresses. The levels of play, variety of modes and styles, and number of songs ensures that dancers will enjoy hours of fun performing with Bob, Larry and the entire VeggieTales gang.

During the 2006 International Christian Retail Show, July 9-13, Digital Praise is exhibiting from its display at Booth 1119 in the Colorado Convention Center The Colorado Convention Center is a multi-purpose convention center in downtown Denver, Colorado which recently underwent a major expansion. The expansion added 600,000 sq. feet of space and a 5,200 seat concert hall. The total area of the convention center is 1.2 million sq. feet. .
