Acquisition Broadens Big Fish Games' Leadership in Online Entertainment

SEATTLE -- Big Fish Games Big Fish Games is a provider of Internet media delivery software and services based in Seattle, Washington. The company is best known for its strong growth and leadership in digital distribution of online casual games. [TM] (www.bigfishgames.com), a leading developer and distributor of online games, today announced the acquisition of Thinglefin, Inc., a premier developer of massively multi-player online (MMO See MMOG. ) games.

, Jeremy Friesen and Ryan O'Rourke founded Seattle-based Thinglefin earlier this year in May. Together they bring more than 35 years of game design and development experience to Big Fish Games. Prior to founding Thinglefin, Ragaini was the lead designer for The Matrix Online and Asheron's Call, two of the first graphical MMOs. Friesen and O'Rourke worked on all aspects of MMO infrastructure at Monolith and Sony Online Entertainment Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) is a game development and game publishing division of Sony that is best known for creating massively multiplayer online games, including EverQuest, EverQuest II, PlanetSide, and Star Wars Galaxies , from inception to deployment. Thinglefin's four employees joined Big Fish Games on November 12.
