HEMET, Calif. -- Celebrate the New Year with a day of fishing at Southern California's premier fishing lake and be eligible to win prizes in Diamond Valley Lake's annual "first to fish" event.

Nearly $1,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top three weights for trout, bass, panfish and catfish on January 1, 2007. The contest runs from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
