Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho are Rolling in the Dough.News/Assignment Editors BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2000 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho will join the Pillsbury Doughboy(TM) at two gatherings to &uot;roll-out the dough&uot; in celebration of a $5,000 donation from Albertson's and Pillsbury and to commemorate the 50th Anniversary Pillsbury BAKE-OFF The Pillsbury Bake-Off is a cooking contest, run by Pillsbury Company from 1949 to 1976, annually, and biennially since.[1] History The Grand Prize in the first contest—then called the Grand National Recipe and Baking Contest (R). The press and public are invited to join Big Brothers Big Sisters at a group-baking event to be held at Friendship Square, 610 Reserve in Boise on Wednesday, February 2 at 6 p.m. Participants will bake and decorate cookies to commemorate the anniversary and thank Albertson's and Pillsbury for the donation. Albertson's and Pillsbury have created these events in markets around the country to provide an opportunity for Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors and children to share the experience of baking, and to create a warm, memorable experience for the participants. A second event is being held on Saturday, February 5 at 10 a.m. at Albertson's Food &Drug store at 4700 N. Eagle Road in Boise where Big Brothers Big Sisters participants will share their designs with the public. There will be festive decorations, face painters and an array of other activities during the event, and the Pillsbury Doughboy(TM) will join in the fun. A Big Brothers Big Sisters recruitment drive for new adult mentors will also be held.
